Registration
This option enables you to activate user registration Enable user registration
so your customers / citizens / students can create their own CXM account to create cases and track/comment on cases - assuming you have given them the privileges to do so! You can also allow organisations to register through the Enable organisation registration
option.
In addition you can enable the automatic creation of a customer record for each user who creates an account by checking the option Create an associated Person record when registering
. This is an important action - if a customer registers for an online account they will have an online account that is linked to a customer record held within the platform. ‘Users’ of the type customer are the online account details that are linked to a customer record. The user record and customer record are linked via email address, which only allows unique addresses to be registered.
If you wish to capture the individuals date of birth - so it is asked in the online user registration process enable the option Capture date of birth
To capture that an individual has accepted any privacy policy or terms & conditions you wish to notify them of prior to creating an account then check the option Enable Privacy Policy link and checkbox
and then enter the link address in the text field Privacy Policy web address (URL)
. If the box is checked then on registering a user must check to accept the privacy policy to be able to register for an online account.
The options for User Type
User Group
and Role
should be set to the type of person your organisation serves - csutomer / citizen / student.
