Birmingham City Council, Europe's largest local authority, has chosen Leicester based SME Jadu to deliver a new digital platform for its residents and businesses.
The council will move to Jadu Continuum CXM (Customer Experience Management), a platform that allows users to track service requests in real time. Automatic notifications inform users when their service status changes, ensuring everyone is kept fully up to date.
“We want simple, clear and effective digital self-service for residents and businesses” says Paula Buckley, Assistant Director of Customer Service.
“Jadu will help us meet current customer expectations by keeping residents in the loop with their requests and enquiries in real-time. Providing updates at every stage and keeping users fully informed will help make digital services the preferred method of interaction.”
This is the latest step in the council’s digital transformation, which last year saw its new website design honoured at the Webby, Lovie and Plain English awards.
Services on the new platform will be rolled out iteratively. Highways and Parks will be first and launch in the spring of 2018.

Jadu is an established provider of digital solutions to local government and higher education as well as commercial organisations. The Jadu Continuum CXM platform integrates with common back-office technology products, such as maps and payment services.

The move follows the August 2016 launch of the council’s newly designed award winning website, which uses Jadu Continuum CMS (Content Management System). Jadu Continuum CMS is an easy to use publishing tool that helps organisations create and publish meaningful content on websites.
