The brand new website for Harrogate Borough Council is now mobile optimised and delivers a more user-friendly experience for residents in an attempt to increase site usage.
Powered by the Jadu Continuum CMS platform and purchased via G-Cloud, the site has also been fully re-designed by creative agency Spacecraft Digital. Now, residents will be able to use all of the site functions and services whether they choose to access the site from a mobile device, tablet or desktop.
One of the key objectives for Harrogate Borough Council was to improve the website structure in order to encourage residents to use it as a platform for requests, routine inquiries and online transactions providing a 24 hour service, so that traditional means of contact was reduced.
The six-month long project also involved a full re-write and re-categorisation of web content following a review of the site analytics, handled by the internal team at Harrogate Borough Council, to ensure that council services were easier to find and use.
Alison Wilson, Improvement and Development Manager at Harrogate said:
“I couldn’t be happier with the new look Harrogate Borough Council website. We wanted to create something fresh and user friendly and with Jadu’s help we have achieved just that. Jadu’s project management team has successfully dealt with any unexpected issues and have worked closely with us to keep the development on track to deliver the website on time and within budget.”
